I want to share some of my favorite bands and ask questions to people who I looked up to growing up involved in the hardcore scene in Detroit. I thought it would be interesting to share some of my experiences and hear stories from people ranging from band members to show promoters and zine creators. Even as far as photographers and bartenders. I want to understand how we all ended up in the same rooms, and be fortunate enough to share the same culture with a small group of people across the globe. Hardcore means the world to a lot of people but some have moved on to a more routine lifestyle. That being said, my mission is to shake up the memories that a lot of us have and reinvigorate the hardcore scene since the pandemic has taken away what we love for so long now. We all take away certain things and share a common set of values and I think that is also important to recognize. Without hardcore, I would not be who I am today and so many people can agree. Lucky for us, we can have these conversations and preserve and pass on what we love. I hope you enjoy it as much as I like creating it. Check out the Instagram @terrorzonepodcast for a lot of the info and when new podcasts will be released. Also any suggestions or feedback is welcome and appreciated . Thank you for checking it out! This is a good one! We talk a lot about the passion for hardcore and how Detroit hc may have been a different place a even just 15 years ago. How it has evolved and how the music is still good and pure. We talk about vinyl because he has his own label and reissues and puts out bands content as well. Not for a paycheck, but for the love.
He is open and honest about hardcore and him growing as a person throughout the years of being in the scene. Being influenced by people but still leading your own path. Great conversation and check out his catalogue at www.bigcartel.overandoutrecordings.com

Well well well....
This is just crazy. I'm pleased to share this episode because these dudes have done so much for the hardcore scene over the years. Especially back in the early 00s. Jeff Sanchez and Chris Trestain go over their forming and insane years of their time with the band Let it Die. They are both very successful in what they do now but music is clearly their passion. While working within the field they still have sought time to do something great for Detroit and bring back great memories and create new ones who weren't lucky enough to witness a Let it Die in their prime.
Obviously, this is being posted with a flyer so you know we are going to talk about the awesome show that they are going to put on. I can't describe how awesome is that they are going out of their way and invited three other bands that aren't very active anymore to do a big reunion show, along with 4 bands that are foaming at the mouth to get stage time since this last year has been grinded to a halt.
This is just absolutely mind blowing. Get yourself insurance before October if you plan on going to this show. Y'all dead.

This is a great episode with a long time Detroit Hardcore front man and supporter of the scene, Josh Reyes. He's been in plenty of bands and always doing what it takes to keep the scene active and.
We share a lot of personal experiences and talk about his time in all the bands he's participated in, along with growing up and just every day shit. A real laid back shit talkin' episode. Stay tuned for more Music from Enemy of God and Hushed as soon as he gets his shit together!! <--His words!

OH SHIT! Another banger coming in with Bryan Harris of Death before Dishonor. I caught him the week before he was about to play the first DBD show back from the COVID lockdown. This is going out 2 weeks after the shows and people seem to be highly upset. Not so much the DBD show but the Madball show in NYC was the day after. Fuck it, right?!
We get into the history of Boston Hardcore and Bryans history of coming up in the Blood for Blood days and how Boston has always had a very active hardcore scene. Not just an active scene, but a very violent scene at a certain point. We get into the Boston Beatdown documentaries and FSU as well.
Great conversation and I also learned a lot. Thank you for supporting and following.

Ok, so this may be a fun episode for some but to others you may not give a fuck about my trip to New York and seeing the biggest hardcore show in 14 months or so.
It was a great time and I am glad that I went. If you don't agree, or think I'm selfish and stupid, keep moving. This isn't for you. It was a great experience and some weird shit happened on my 36 hour journey in NYC.
Thanks for checking it out and hope you enjoy the episode!
Great episode next week, stay tuned!

This was a fun one with Rick and Ed. Ed is from a former Detroit Hardcore/Hip Hop group Universal Stomp. Sick band! You can find most of their stuff on YouTube and Spotify.
Rick has been on before and he is a Detroit hip hop artist and also front man of Detroit Hardcore outfit, Bloody Knuckle Combat! Check their shit out.

I hope not to torture you guys with a solo podcast but I wanted to try and do something different for once. I'm just trying to shoot the shit, rather than have the interview type conversation. Let you know some things that I'm doing and rambling like an idiot. Check out the instagram and send me flyers! or email anything you want to the podcast address.
No video to this podcast, just a short audio version because I recorded with my shirt off, yuck. Let me know if this was a waste of time or not hahaha!

Jimmy Doom. Punk Rocker, Author, Actor, Bartender. This guy is fantastic and as real as it gets. I wanted to try and go back in time with Jimmy because he's been around a long time. Early 80s when it was still brand new. Shit compared to time, hardcore is still brand new. Nobody knows what they're doing and we all have our own outlook. That's the great thing. I'm going to keep this short because I am already late on it but thank you for sticking around! Share it or don't! Either way, thank you for the support after 12 episodes. More opportunities for you and I are on the horizon and it's taking on a life of it;s own! I'm happy people enjoy it.
Jimmy has a great book as well, called "Humans, Being". It is 365, one hundred word short stories. ! every day for a year! Find it on Amazon!

D Bloc is coming for you! This episode was a good one because I got to dive into someone elses life from the Detroit Hardcore scene. Super fun episode and learned a lot from him. Camden has traveled a lot and done a lot of cool things. Currently still active in the military, respect to him for that.
The newest band about to hit the streets is D Bloc. I know there are other projects coming up but this was a good one to get in to. Especially forming during the pandemic. I'm glad people can still get together and make music and create something in the middle of bullshit times. I think these guys are going to come out swinging full force. They have a lot of people backing them and on their side.
Anyways, I'm glad people are still interested and share the podcast with others. Please keep doing so. You guys are great!
